Lawrenceville-based Jewish choir to hold auditions

Sharim v’Sharot is set to hold auditions for its 15th season.

Auditions are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays in August and by appointment in September.

Elayne Robinson Grossman directs and conducts the largely a capella group which performs Jewish music in a variety of styles and languages throughout central New Jersey and the Delaware Valley.

Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Sept. 2 and continue on Tuesday evenings through May in Lawrenceville.

The Sharim v’Sharot Foundationis a non-profit organization dedicated to performing and educating the public about Jewish music. The foundation’s projects include the choir, the annual Young People’s Jewish Songwriting Contest and Mercer County Jewish Choral Festival.
