Lawrence Senior Center to host defensive driving course

Lawrence Township Senior Center is set to offer an AARP defensive driving course.

The course is open to township residents age 60 and older with a valid drivers license.

The course is offered in two sessions scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 and 12. in the Senior Center Game Room, 30 East Darrah Lane, Lawrenceville. A certificate of completion is given to individuals who attend both sessions.

According to AARP, participants who complete the course will receive a certificate valid for a discount on their insurance rates. In addition, participants who maintain a good driving record can have two points removed from their driving record two months after the course.

Advanced registration is required. The cost is $20 for the general public and $15 for AARP members.
