Starhawk to be featured speaker at UUCWC Samstone Lecture Nov. 14 and 15

Starhawk, a nationally renown voice in modern Goddess religion and earth-based spirituality, will lead the annual Samstone Lecture Event at Unitarian Universalist Church on Fri., Nov. 14 and Sat., Nov. 15.

Starhawk is the author or coauthor of twelve books, including The Spiral Dance and The Fifth Sacred Thing.

On Friday, she will speak informally about her work and sign books. On Saturday she will deliver a talk titled “Taking Root: Grounding Spirit in the Earth.”

Friday’s session will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday’s session will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch is included for participants who preregister at uucwc.org by Nov. 5.

The cost of admission is a donation for $35 Friday, $50 Saturday or $75, both days. Students with an ID may register for $25 both days.
