Pennington Dance Company prepares for holiday performance

Pennington Dance students prepare for the upcoming HOLIDAY WALK performance, sponsored by the Pennington Business and Professional Association on Dec. 5 at 6:45 pm at the school’s dance studio location. The Pennington Dance Company will hold a holiday performance on Dec. 5 at 6:45 p.m. during the Pennington Business and Professional Association’s annual Holiday Walk. The Pennington Dance studio is located at the Trenton Cyrus Lodge, 131 Burd Street.

More than 70 dancers ranging in age from three to 15 years will perform. Some of the program’s ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop numbers include All I Want for Christmas is You, Jingle Bell Rock, So This is Christmas, Up on A Housetop, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, We are Santa’s Elves, Let it Snow, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and several variations from The Nutcracker.

Dances are choreographed by Pennington Dance instructors Jenny Gladney, Ashley Miller, Taylor Miller and Nancy Warner. Students Faith Doldy, Lena Ondreyka, Arielle Kline, Alastair Donofrio and Phoebe Donofrio will perform numbers they have choreographed themselves.

Pennington Dance is celebrating its 35th year inspiring dancers. The Company has performed for every Holiday Walk and Pennington Day since the inception of each event. The Company performs annually at residential nursing homes and has performed for the Lambertville Shad Festival and the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parades. Pennington Dance offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, small group Pilates mat classes and private Pilates apparatus classes as well as workshops in contemporary dance, original Broadway repertoire and musical theatre production.
