Open Air Theatre announces its 2014 season

Lambertville’s Downtown Performing Arts Center is set to hold its fifth season of Open Air Theatre at Washington Crossing State Park.

This season will include several musicals and children’s shows which will run between late-May and mid-October.

This year’s musicals are West Side Story, Seussical the Musical, The Secret Garden, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Li’l Abner, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Big the Musical, Fiddler on the Roof and the Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Children’s productions will include Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids, Cinderella Kids and Aladdin Jr. There will also be three original musicals written by Open Air Theatre artistic director Louis Palena. These are Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and Snow White.

Mainstage productions are Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Children’s shows are Friday and Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.

The season will begin on May 30 with West Side Story.

Washington Crossing State Park is located at 355 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road in Titusville.
