Howell Living History Farm is set to host a free Picket Fence Art Show and Sale event on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The farm is located at 70 Woodens Lane in Lambertville.

Visitors can climb aboard the surreys at the farm’s Visitor Center and ride to the barnyard, where farmhouse tours, music and a picket fence art show await them. Inside the recently restored farmhouse, visitors can enjoy fresh mint and listen to period music played on the parlor piano.

The art show will feature original paintings by artists who have captured the look and feel of the farm in watercolors and oil, bringing to life scenes from both the past and present. Proceeds from the sale of paintings will benefit the restoration of a circa 1895 pump organ donated to the farm by Ed and Alva Hart of Pennington.

Howell Living History Farm is operated and maintained by the Mercer County Park Commission. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Parking and admission are free.

For more information, call the farm office at (609) 737-3299 or visit howellfarm.org.
