The Hopewell-Keroka Alliance (HKA) will hold its 10th annual large flea market at Hopewell Valley Central High School on Sunday, March 24, from noon to 3 p.m.
HKA volunteers will accept deliveries of donated new or gently used household items, books, toys or clothing in good condition at the high school on Saturday, March 23, from noon to 3 p.m. No holiday decorations, electronics, televisions, large furniture, baby equipment or sports equipment will be accepted.
All net proceeds from the flea market will benefit ongoing HKA health, education and infrastructure-improvement projects for residents of the Keroka area of southwestern Kenya in East Africa. Founded in 2008 and jointly based in both Hopewell Valley and Keroka, Kenya, the Hopewell-Keroka Alliance has raised $220,000.
HKA is a Hopewell Township-based, all-volunteer, nonprofit whose goals are to build an ongoing humanitarian and cultural bridge between the Hopewell Valley and Keroka communities and to improve health, education and infrastructure for residents of multiple small contiguous Kenyan villages over time.
Hopewell Valley Central High School is located at 259 Pennington-Titusville Road in Pennington. Ample free parking is available. HKA volunteers will be available to help unload donations from vehicles March 23 and will help shoppers transport prized purchases to their vehicles March 24.
