The Delaware & Raritan Canal Watch is set to hold a free walking tour along the Delaware & Raritan Canal feeder on Aug. 11.

The walk explores the section of the canal park between Scudder’s Falls and Church Road in the Titusville, a distance of 3.6 miles. There will also be an opportunity for a shorter walk of 1.2 miles.

The tour passes through Washington Crossing State Park with expansive views of the Delaware River as well as the historic village of Titusville.

Walkers are set to meet 10 a.m. at the Scudder’s Falls parking lot, along the canal feeder, located off River Road north of the Scudder’s Falls Bridge and south of Scenic Drive.

Canal Watch board member Bob Barth will conduct the walk. For further information and weather-related updates, call Barth at 201-401-3121 or e-mail barths@att.net.

The nonprofit D & R Canal Watch aims to promote, enhance and preserve the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park.
