Princeton runners win Athletic Club’s 6K

Sharan Grewal (Princeton) won first overall man in Princeton Athletic Club’s 6K April 5, 2014.

Elizabeth Fries (Princeton) was the overall women’s winner in Princeton Athletic Club’s 6K April 5, 2014.

Runners competed in Princeton Athletic Club’s 6K cross-country run at the Institute Woods on April 5.

Athletes faced a muddy course under gusty conditions in the low 50s.

Princeton resident Elizabeth Fries won the women’s event in a time of 27:46.

Breanna Steinhauer of Hillsborough came in second with a performance of 30:35.

Ewing resident Rebecca Cegielski was third woman overall and winner in the masters division, with a time of 33:05.

Sharan Grewal of Princeton took first for the men’s division, clocking 23:26.

Winner of the masters men was Corey Henry of Princeton Junction with a time of 23:58. He was second overall.

Dick Harnly of Fort Wayne, Ind., ran away with the 70’s age group, in 38 minutes flat.

PAC is a nonprofit running club for the Princeton area community. It is affiliated with Road Runners Club of America and USA Track and Field. Membership in PAC is open to all.

The next PAC events are the series of all-comer track meets scheduled for June 3, 10 and 17. All ages and abilities are welcome.
