Hamilton boy struck by vehicle while crossing Whitehorse Hamilton Square Road

An 11-year-old Hamilton boy is in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Kuser Road and Whitehorse Hamilton Square Road.

37-year-old Hamilton resident Ivonne Gutierrez-Hernandez was driving northbound on Whitehorse Hamilton Square Road yesterday afternoon when she collided with the 11-year-old boy, according to a statement from township police.

Police said the boy was traveling westbound on Kuser Road and was crossing Whitehorse Hamilton Square Road on his bicycle. Gutierrez-Hernandez was driving a 2008 Ford F250, and police said the accident occurred at approximately 2:06 p.m.

The boy was transported to Capital Health and then flown by helicopter to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for treatment. He is listed in serious condition. The police did not release additional information about his condition or injuries.
