Hundreds of children and youth had jollier and merrier holidays this season, thanks to a special partnership between Crossroads’ Programs and seven MedExpress Urgent Care locations. Together, the non-profit and South Jersey MedExpress locations collected close to 300 toys and other gifts, which were then distributed to at-risk children and youth in Crossroads’ treatment and community programs.

The MedExpress locations in Willingboro, Cherry Hill, Cinnaminson, Hamilton Square, Mount Ephraim, Runnemede and Woodbury served as drop-off points for gifts suitable for infants through youth up to 18 years of age for several weeks, starting in mid-November and ending on December 18, 2015. MedExpress also collected personal care items, as well as cash and check donations for Crossroads Programs.

Every year, Crossroads’ Programs serves about 350 youth in both residential and community-based programs throughout South Jersey. Since 1978, Crossroads’ Programs has been assisting youth who are homeless, abandoned, abused, or otherwise at-risk to lead healthy, productive lives. Crossroads believes that all youth deserve a chance to discover and put to use their inherent strengths and talents in order to become successful, contributing adults.
