PEAC to offer a course for aspiring babysitters

A babysitting course for teen and pre-teens is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. on April 4 and 5 at PEAC Health and Fitness, 1440 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing.

This class is meant for individuals at least 11 years old and will include lessons in how to handle finances, basic first aid, CPR and activities to entertain children.

The cost is $25.

Sharon Gore of Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station Cooperative Extension of Mercer County is set to teach the class.

This program is offered by PEAC as part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, which aims to New Jersey residents adapt to and improve their lives and communities through an educational process that uses science based knowledge. They work with 4-H Youth Development, Family and Community Health Sciences and Agriculture and Resource Management to provide these programs.
