Paws for a Cause benefits local animal shelters

Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello delivered 400 pounds of food and supplies to EASEL and the Trenton Animal Shelter.

The donations were the result of a food drive called Paws for a Cause, sponsored by Covello and members of her staff.

EASEL Animal Rescue League is an all-volunteer, community-based action group dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals in Mercer County.

Trenton Animal Shelter’s mission is to educate and promote a better quality of care for all animals in Trenton, being mindful of the need to protect the citizens of the city in accordance to the state and local laws and ordinances.
