West Windsor’s post office at 331 North Post Road, adjacent to the municipal building, has a new officer-in-charge, who will serve as the acting postmaster until further notice. Gus Pippins of Browns Mills, New Jersey, took over November 12. It is his first appointment as an acting postmaster, and Pippins previously worked at the post office in Mount Holly.

Pippins, 52, has received welcoming phone calls from Mayor Hsueh and Business Administrator Robert Hary. But when the administration asked what changes might be in store, if any, Pippins could only direct them to his supervisors.

With major changes being planned at the USPS, West Windsor officials are mindful of its $11,000 per month lease with the post office, which will expire on December 31, 2013. Hsueh and Hary have been trying to contact USPS’ Mercer County division to get a sense of the long-term plans for the post office.
