Tammy Quoc Vu and Douglas Scott Pulitzer were married on May 1. The wedding was featured as the New York Times Wedding of the Week due to the couple’s shared interests in mathematics.

The ceremony was performed by the bride’s sister, Tania Vu, a Universal Life Minister and the reception was at Prospect House, Princeton University.

The bride’s parents, Kha and Kim Vu, live in Plainsboro. According to The Times, the bride, her mother, and her sister, left Vietnam the day after Saigon fell. Her father remained for two more weeks and the family had a reunion six weeks later on a Malaysian island. A former assistant principal in Boston, she is now an assistant principal at East Side Community High School in New York City.

The groom’s parents are Elaine Matthews of San Francisco, California, and Douglas Scott Pulitzer, men’s clothing designer, of Greenwich, Connecticut. The groom is an intellectual property lawyer.
