Little League

West Windsor 12s A win against Sunnybrae, 4-3, on July 21 in the HTBRA tournament. Junya Yokoyama hit a two-run home run. Ryo Komeno was the winning pitcher.

West Windsor 10s A loss to Nottingham, 4-2, in the District 12 championship game on July 19. Justin O’Leary hit a two-run homer. Kevin Murphy had a double.

A win against Robbinsville, 16-2, on July 18. Kevin Murphy only gave up four hits, struck out four, and walked one. He also went 4-for-4 and scored two runs. Patrick Tso had four hits. Thomas Marsh, Kyle Siegler, Michael Radey, and George Revock each had two hits.

A win against East Windsor, 15-5, on July 17. George Revock had two home runs and a double and drove in six runs. Justin O’Leary went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Brian Tso went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Kevin Murphy went 2-for-5. Patrick Tso went 2-for-3. Kyle Siegler went 2-for-3.

A win against HTRBA, 3-2, on July 15.

A win against Cranbury-Plainsboro, 20-2, on July 12 in the first-round bracket play game. Kyle Siegler was 4-for-4 with three runs and an RBI. Brian Tso had two hits, five RBIs and two runs. Justin O’Leary had three hits, four RBIs, and two runs. Jake Nieschmidt, Michael Radey, and George Revock had two hits and two RBIs each.

Cranbury-Plainsboro 10s A loss to Millstone-Roosevelt, 10-6, on July 13.

Cranbury-Plainsboro 11s A loss to Nottingham, 11-7, on July 15. Vinny Porreca went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI; Dan Borup went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and 2 runs; Jack Andres went 3-for-4 with an RBI; and Mike Mazzeo had a two-run double. Ben Gross struck out 13.

A loss to Bordentown, 12-7, on July 13.

Cranbury-Plainsboro Softball 10s A loss to Florence, 15-0, on July 17.

Sports Briefs

Sean McNulty, a High School North graduate, finished second overall, with a time of 17:24, in the Run for Dad 5k at Mercer County Park on June 14. West Windsor resident Sam Macaluso finished fifth. Plainsboro resident Michael Vargas was eighth, and Jessica Geduldig, also of Plainsboro, finished in 20:52, as the third female finisher.

Everett Schlawin, High School South graduate, finished first overall in the Independence Day Firecracker 5K held July 4 in Laramie, WY. He finished with a time of 17:02.

Cathy Han, a Plainsboro resident and an incoming freshman at High School South, was one of 35 cheerleaders to receive a 2008 All-American Scholar First Team Scholarship in the national Pop Warner Little Scholars program.

West Windsor resident Viktoria Lager shot 78-75—153 in her second place finish in the girls division at the Trusted Choice Big I Junior Classic New Jersey qualifier on July 7 at Olde York Country Club.
