Franc Gambatese and Charles Morgan have squared off in council meetings continually in the four years they have served together. They will be lining up on separate sides of the ballot on May 8, and each has assembled a slate of candidates to vie for the three seats up for election.##M:[more]##

Morgan will be joined by Anklowitz, who was elected to council in November to complete Kristin Appleget’s unfinished term. Anklowitz will now try to keep his seat in the face of more competition, but with the help of Morgan, a fellow attorney. They will run with Windsor Haven resident Steve Schorr, who was campaign manager for Anklowitz last fall.

Gambatese has chosen two planning board members to complete his slate: Chuck Chang, of Saratoga Street, and Diane Chiccone, of Penn Lyle Road. Six weeks remain before the council candidate registration deadline of Thursday, March 15.
