Princeton Police, Princeton Fire and Princeton First Aid responded to a report of a gas main leak at Princeton International School of Math on Lambert Drive Oct. 21.

Upon arrival, the units determined that partial evacuation of the building was necessary for the safety of about 50 faculty, students and staff.

According to police, the initial investigation showed that a gas main was struck by a piece of construction equipment. They reported the cause as improper marking of the gas line prior to construction.

PSE&G also responded to assist in securing the scene and shut the main off at the street.
