The Princeton Pianists Ensemble and the Harvard College Piano Society are set to come together for a “piano battle.”

The program will include an arrangement of Gustav Holst’s The Planets for Five Pianos as well as music by Bach, Scarlatti, Bizet, Grieg and more. In addition, the ensembles will exchange compositions commissioned for Harvard by Princeton and for Princeton by Harvard.

The Princeton Pianists Ensemble is the only collaborative piano group at Princeton University devoted to multi-hand and multi-piano music. Founded in September 2012, the members of the Princeton Pianists Ensemble perform everything from the standard classical canon to ridiculous arrangements of famous showpieces.

The piano battle is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall.

Tickets are $15 for general public, $12 for seniors and $7 for students.
