Despite the strike by stagehands in New York City this past month, two shows affiliated with former West Windsor-Plainsboro High School students, have continued with performances.##M:[more]##

“Things We Want” is directed by Ethan Hawke, who attended West Windsor-Plainsboro High School and graduated from the Hun School, Class of 1988. The show at the New Group’s Acorn Theater, 410 West 42nd Street, opened on Wednesday, November 7. Performances are scheduled through December 15. www.thenewgroup.org.

Rachel E. Miller, WW-P High School, Class of 2000, is the production stage manager for “Pumpgirl” at Manhattan Theater Club’s New York City Center Stage, 131 West 55th Street.

The official opening is Tuesday, December 4. Performances are scheduled through January 13. www.ManhattanTheatreClub.com.

Matthew Leshchanka, WW-P High School, Class of 1999, portrays a Winkie in Villagers Theater, “Christmas in the Land of Oz.” His twin sister, Melissa, plays one of the monkeys. Their younger brother, Matthew Leshchanka, portrays the Munchkin Mayor; and their mother, Tina Lee, is the director and producer for the program.
