The Old Barracks Museum is hosting its 2018 Beulah Oliphant Award ceremony and reception on Thursday, March 8, at the Old Barracks on Barracks Street in Trenton.

The award is named in honor of the woman who in 1902 led the way to preserve the Old Barracks. It is presented to New Jersey women who demonstrate important contributions to New Jersey history in the areas of historic preservation, education, or scholarship.

This year’s recipient is Gail Hunton. She is the chief of the acquisition and design department at Monmouth County Park System, where she was involved in park and building restoration, archeological research, the production of interpretive materials, permanent exhibits, and publications.

The Beulah Oliphant Award is sponsored by Debbie and Brian Kelly, Jan Hird Pokorny Associates, Z Studio, Hunter Research, Clarke Caton Hintz, Crossroads of the American Revolution, John O’Sullivan, and C. W. Zink.

Tickets are $35. To purchase: 609-396-1776 or barracks.org.
