The West Windsor-Plainsboro school board approved the hiring of Christine Capaci as the new principal at Village School.##M:[more]##

Capaci, whose salary will be $121,”817.95, will replace Brian Stevens, who transferred to Town Center Elementary. That vacancy was created with the retirement of Marilyn Hynes.

Capaci, a Plainsboro resident, began her career as a student teacher at Northside Middle School in Norfolk, VA, after graduating from Old Dominion University. Following that, she held a quasi-administrative position with the school — in an urban district — in which part of her duties were to retrieve children off the street and bring them to school, at the same time trying to form bonds with them to encourage them to succeed. She is currently the vice principal at the Cranbury School, where she began in 2003.
