Mita Sharma is studying in Copenhagen this fall as part of a Dartmouth College exchange program. A graduate of High School South, Class of 2004, she was valedictorian of the class. She plans to major in neuroscience and minor in chemistry.

At South, Sharma was co-president of the Red Cross Club, president of the National Spanish Honor Society, co-president of the Spanish Club, treasurer of the National Honor Society, and vice president of the Red Cross of Central NJ Youth Council. She volunteered at the University Medical Center at Princeton and worked at Village School extended day program. In 2005, she and her sister, Shikha, became EMTs and volunteered at the Twin “W” First Aid Squad. (The News, December 2, 2005).

Kelly Nigh, a student at Stanford University, received the Edward A. Bragaline award, a $1,”000 scholarship, from the Seeing Eye. Nigh, a member of Seeing Eye/4-H in Mercer County, has been a puppy raiser for four years. She is a graduate of High School South, Class of 2006.
