The third annual Healthy Children, Healthy Planet event is set to celebrate school gardening.

The event, which takes place at the Riverside School’s garden, features garden tours, activities, yoga, sustainability exhibits, and arts and crafts.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to buy plants.

Riverside’s garden designed for teaching in authentic settings and using the outdoors to make curriculum come alive. Teachers have found creative ways of using the space and children are free to pick, explore and run around as long as they keep their feet out of beds.

Healthy Children, Healthy Planet is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 at the Riverside School, 58 Riverside Drive, Princeton.
