Two West Windsor residents, Monica Koppstein and Robert Nester, have returned from Shanghai, China, where they competed in the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games.

The 400-member Team USA left for China on September 26. They spent the first few days of their trip in a host town, where local families and communities helped the athletes acclimate to the culture of China.

Koppstein, 19, came home with a gold, a silver, and a seventh place award in bowling. Nester, 32, received six gold and one bronze award in gymnastics. Visit www.sonj.org for more information.
