The High School South Pirates may already be basking in their so-far perfect season, at 8-0, and in the news that they have earned a spot in the playoffs, but quarterback Connor Farrell is finding his own personal success.##M:[more]##

In the season opener in September Farrell surpassed the Colonial Valley Conference record — 342 yards in one game — set in 2002, by throwing for 457 yards. He completed 18-of-28 passes, including five touchdowns.

Now he has done it again — this time becoming the CVC’s all-time career passing leader. Farrell broke the record — 4,”238 yards — on his second pass of the blowout against Steinert, 49-0, on November 1. The record-breaking pass to receiver Jack Dennehy was good for a 94-yard touchdown, which also happens to be the longest touchdown pass of his career.

Heading into the game, Farrell only needed three passing yards to achieve the milestone. In addition to the 94-yard pass, Farrell also had a 45-yard touchdown pass to Dave Twamley, and completed 8 of 12 passes for 270 yards by game’s end. His total career yardage is now at 4,”482.

South hosts Princeton on Saturday, November 8, at 1 p.m.
