Marie Alonzo Snyder of West Windsor presented the world premiere of “Traversations: Take me there I belong,” a commissioned work by the Chen Dance Center, 70 Mulberry Street, New York City, in late May. The title, inspired by Bengali abstract expressionist painter and former West Windsor resident Sharmista Ray, features music by British composer, Geoffrey Armes, integrates sets by Japanese visual artist, Keiko Ishida, who is active in West Windsor Arts Council events.##M:[more]##

“It is a visual journey exploring and traversing the various passages of acculturation, identity affirmation, self discovery, and reinvention,” says Alonzo Snyder.
