Deaths

Nellie Corso Vigna, 87, died June 15 at Care One in Hamilton. Survivors include a grandson, Michael Vigna of Plainsboro.

Edna G. Van Zandt, 76, died June 24 at Princeton Windrows. Born in Albany, New York, she lived in Flemington, Raritan Township, and Princeton before moving to Plainsboro five years ago.

A graduate of Cornell University, she was credit manager for Van Zandt Sales and Services in Raritan and was volunteer director at Hunterdon Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ed Van Zandt; two sons, David E. Van Zandt of Chicago, Illinois, and Thomas R. Van Zandt of Redondo Beach, California; two daughters, Mary V. Z. Wacterhauser of Haverton, Pennsylvania, and Shirley E. Van Zandt of Baltimore, Maryland; a brother, Roy L. Gillett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 9, 11 a.m., in the Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street, Princeton. A reception follows at the Windrows Community in Plainsboro. Donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 601 North Clinton Avenue, Trenton 06538.

Irene Parker Todd, 102, died June 28 at the John B. Parsons Home in Salisbury, Maryland. Survivors include granddaughter Cherianne Todd Bender and her husband, Matthew of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Wicomico Presbyterian Church, 129 Broad Street, Salisbury, MD 21801.

Edith Waller, 76, of West Windsor died July 1 at her residence. She was born in Germany and was a former resident of Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of Pratt Institute, she was a registered dietitian at the Brooklyn Veterans Administration Hospital before retiring.

Survivors include a sister Sophie Goldstein of West Windsor; a niece Cary Bloom, a nephew David Goldstein; five great-nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Gloria Cantone, 83, of Hamilton died July 2. Survivors include her brother-in-law, Don Shipley of West Windsor. Donations may be made to St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square 08690.
