This quilt is among the items being auctioned to benefit the Appalachia Service Project.
The Princeton United Methodist Church will hold an auction to benefit the Appalachia Service Project on Saturday, March 14 at 6 p.m.
The evening includes dinner and a silent auction. All proceeds go to an annual service trip to Appalachia, where members of the congregation’s youth program work to make homes warmer, safer and drier.
The church’s youth have been participating in the national program for nearly 40 years. Preparation for the trip is an eight month process that includes fundraising, learning Appalachian culture, basic construction skills and the meaning of service to others.
Among the items being auctioned are a week at a condo in Florida and a pink and blue king-sized quilt designed by the late Ruth Woodward, a PUMC member who was committed to missions.
Tickets are $5.
