Artists’ Gallery will present “Radiance,” an exhibition featuring the oil paintings of Maxine Shore and the photographs of Joseph DeFay. The show runs from July 9 until Aug. 2. The opening reception will be held July 11 from 4-7 p.m. Artists’ Gallery is located at 118 Bridge Street in Lambertville.

Shore is a contemporary colorist who uses color and light in an effort to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Her paintings, which can be seen at maxineshore.com, are in many private collections as well as prominent institutions. Shore has studied at various schools in New York and Philadelphia, including The Parsons School of Design, the National Academy and The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She currently resides in East Windsor.

DeFay’s photographs tend pull out the simpler aspects of everyday life so they can be seen with a renewed beauty, and a new perspective.
