Residents at HomeFront will be a little warmer this winter thanks to the generosity of the Lawrence Library knitting circle.

Belinda Silver, a member of the Lawrence Library knitting circle, initiated a community drive at the library to collect handmade scarves, hats and mittens to be donated to HomeFront.

This is the knitting circle’s seventh year of organizing the collection drive. The knitters made a wide variety of scarves, mittens and adult and children’s hats.

HomeFront helps families end the cycle of poverty. Their mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the caring, resources and expertise of the community. For more information about the organization, visit homefrontnj.org.

The Lawrence Library is located at 2751 Brunswick Pike. For more information about the library and other programs it offers, call 609-883-8292 or visit mcl.org.
