Lianna Huang, a 2018 graduate of High School South, was chosen as the 2018 recipient of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Scholarship. Huang was selected based on her academic history and potential, an essay and recommendations.

She will receive a total of $4,000 toward her higher education at Pomona College starting this fall semester.

Huang plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics and economics as well as a minor in computer science and Spanish.

“(Lianna’s) near perfect GPA alone is exceptional, especially in a district known for its intense competition and high academic standards. However, what separates her from her peers is that she is a well-balanced student,” said High School South guidance counselor Antonella Facchini.

Huang also had a rigorous extracurricular schedule that included captaining the school’s girls varsity volleyball team, serving as vice president of Artists for Charity, and running her own online jewelry and apparel business.

Huang’s mother is Connie Huang, a real estate agent affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Princeton.
