Robbinsville Girl Scouts Delaney McEvoy, Swetha Ramachandran, Katelyn Haegley and Maitri Shah are currently completing their Silver Award projects.

McEvoy (pictured above) is training her dog, Sneezy, to be a therapy dog by attending three training classes. They learned how to greet people and be comfortable around medical equipment. Sneezy passed his therapy dog exam, and can now visit hospitals, schools and nursing homes.

Meanwhile, the Silver Award project of Robbinsville High freshmen Swetha Ramachandran, Katelyn Haegley and Maitri Shah involves working in the Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church’s Grover Memorial Garden. As a part of that, the students planted and maintained the tomato and basil rows.

The produce is donated to the R.I.S.E. Food Pantry. Various improvements have been made to the garden, such as building a bench and making a sign.
