Jeremy Conover of Hamilton has completed his Eagle Scout project, a human foosball court for the YMCA at Sawmill.

Jeremy Conover of Boy Scout Troop 63 from Saint Mark United Methodist Church has completed his Eagle project in Hamilton Township. Conover planned, designed and led a team of peers and adults in building a human foosball court for the YMCA at Sawmill. He is currently a Life Scout going for his Eagle Award, the highest award a Boy Scout can receive.

The project took about 238 hours to complete and was truly a labor of love as it combined his lifelong enjoyment of soccer along with his recent affinity for working with children, including those with mental and physical disabilities.

Conover has been both a volunteer and paid counselor at the YMCA for the past three summers with the SKOR and traditional camp programs. The human foosball court is now utilized daily by children of all ability levels and it has been entered into the Mayor’s photo contest highlighting favorite places in Hamilton.

Conover is currently fundraising to pay for the materials used for the project. He is almost halfway to his goal of raising $1,300.
