“Papua New Guinea- the Land that Time Forgot,” by Photographer Diana Frost of Hillsborough, NJ is one of two photo exhibitions to be presented by the Princeton Photography Club at Updike Farmstead on October 3, 2015.
The Princeton Photography Club (PPC) in collaboration with The Princeton Historical Society is set to host the latest presentation of the “Through the Lens: The World Around Us” photo series at 12 noon on Saturday, October 3, 2015.The event will take place at Updike Farmstead located at 354 Quaker Road in Princeton.
The event will showcase a body of work from two photographers, about 30 minutes each, providing a glimpse of the world not always obvious or accessible. The “Through the Lens” series allows viewers to connect with a place or theme through the power of images. The presentations for October 3 are entitled: “Papua, New Guinea—The Land That Time Forgot” by Diana Frost of Hillsborough and “Four Seasons at Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge” by Judith Keneman of Princeton.
The presentations will start at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively. Visitors are invited to come at noon for a box luncheon and a visit around the Updike Farmstead. The cost of the luncheon is $12, to be paid at the door.
The Farmstead consists of a late 18th century/early 19th century farmhouse, a large barn built in 1892, a wagon shed, corn crib and other out buildings. There is also a museum that documents daily life in Princeton from early settlement through the present day. The site is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places and lies within the Princeton Battlefield Historic District.
Visitors can tour the Farmstead between 12 and 4 p.m. The overall event is open to the public and an RSPV at ppcphotoclub@gmail.com is requested for the luncheon only.
