Locals cast in upcoming MCCC performance of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”

Theatre to Go and Pierrot Productions are set to present Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre in February.

The performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on Fridays, Feb. 6 and 13 and Saturdays, Feb. 7 and 14 and for 2 p.m. on Sundays, Feb. 8 and 15.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play tells the story of coming apart of the web of deceit that had been holding together a wealthy Southern family. Over the course of one evening, family members let loose about long-simmering jealousies, suspicions of greed, unspoken sexual desires and some profound and damning lies.

The cast includes Robert Lanchester as Big Daddy, Mariel Rosati (Ivyland, Pa.) as Maggie, Ray Fallon (Westmont) as Brick, Lori Fabian (Hightstown) as Big Mama, Tim Anderson (Princeton) as Gooper, Jackie Wasneski (Hightstown) as Mae, William Walters (Columbus) as Rev. Tooker, Kevin Hallam (Hamilton) as Dr. Baugh and Mariah King (Jersey City) as Sookey. Playing the roles of the children are Maya Gunaseelan (Plainsboro), William Alena (Princeton), Ruth Learn (New Brunswick), Michaela Meyer (Plainsboro) and Makenna Katz (West Windsor).

Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and $14 for students and children.

Kelsey Theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
