Zonta accepting applications for Young Women in Public Affairs Award

The Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer is accepting applications for the Young Women in Public Affairs Award.

Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer is part of the international service club working to improve the legal, political, economic and health status of women and children.

To qualify for the award, applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 19, volunteer to help improve the status of women and children in their community and reside in the Mercer County area.

The $500 award aims to encourage young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a commitment to the volunteer sector through evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women.

The winner will be submitted for the District/Regional Award of $1,000 and could potentially advance to the International Award of $4,000.

Applications are due by March 1.
