Princeton Festival Opera still “The People’s Choice”

For the second year in a row The Princeton Festival’s Opera has been voted “Favorite Opera Company” in the annual JerseyArts.com People’s Choice awards, beating the second place finisher by over a thousand votes.

More than 100 nonprofit arts groups and arts districts were nominated for the 2015 Awards by members of the arts community. From the nominations, the public chose their favorites in 16 categories, with nearly 15,000 ballots cast for arts organizations statewide. The awards, which takes place annually to honor the work of New Jersey’s vital, vibrant and diverse arts community, saw the greatest number of nominees and voters since its inception in 2008.

The June 2015 Festival season will feature the opera “The Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart. In addition there will be an a cappella vocal jazz concert, chamber music, country music, Indian music and dance, jazz, musical theater, an orchestra concert and much more.
