‘Quick Thinkers’ on MidKnight Team

The FIRST Robotics Team 1923, The MidKnight Inventors, began its competition season by participating in the Mt. Olive District event. The team of 109 students from High School’s North and South finished in the quarterfinals and received the Judges Award for “Quick-Thinking Innovation.”

Team members include Joey Byrnes, Nabeel Peshimam, Rohan Chatterjee, Chinmay Sevak, and Michael Foley. Their coach is Libby Kamen and their advisor is Kathy Rogers.

Rohan Chatterjee and Aravind Koneru, juniors at High School South, were nominated for the FIRST Dean’s list award for outstanding dedication and contributions to the FIRST robotics program. Chatterjee received notification from the judges that he will continue to the next round of judging at the Mid-Atlantic Region Championship.

The MidKnight Inventors will compete again at the Tech Valley Regional at Rensselaer Polytechnic University and at the North Brunswick District Competition.
