Operation Dreamlift welcomes locals to attend Disney sendoff on May 5

The Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation invites community members to participate its Operation Dreamlift Disney sendoff on Tuesday, May 5 starting at 6:30 a.m.

This year’s Operation Dreamlift will begin as special needs children depart from the National Guard Facility, located at 152 Scotch Road in West Trenton, for a fun filled day at Disneyworld.

The sendoff will feature Disney characters including Mickey and Minnie, the Storm Troopers from Star Wars, the New Jersey Storm Troopers and Boomer from the Trenton Thunder. The event will also include performances by the Ewing High School band, Abigail Vernon who will sing the national anthem and students from Notre Dame Drama Club.

Miss New Jersey is also set to attend the event.
