South Post Residents Alarmed by Crowds and Concerts

My neighbors and I are very concerned, kind of alarmed, saddened really. No one wants to have a knife fight in our front yards so to speak. But crowd control is a huge concern for us here on South Post Road.

It is so bizarre that as a neighborhood we are struggling to find a balance with traffic congestion, bright lights, and loud music at Mercer County Park.

MC Park’s mission is for recreational purposes, so why is it now a major concert entertainment zone?

I think the underlining chatter is that the County will do what they want to do. Just like the industrial-sized solar farm with 33,500 panels built right next to us. We’ve asked repeatedly to meet and sit down with the County Executive and his staff. If the County can find the courage to do so, we would welcome the opportunity.

Unfortunately, I think it will take a tragic accident or worse to wake everyone up. Things are getting way out-of-control and whatever it is, I truly hope it is not one of my neighbors who might suffer.
