In May, four teams from Robbinsville Schools attended the Destination ImagiNation (DI) Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee where they competed against more than 1,400 teams from 48 states and 17 countries in a variety of challenges.

Robbinsville High placed sixth in a field of 73 competitors in “The Improv Games” challenge, while the 8th grade team from Pond Road Middle School placed first among a field of 77 teams in the “Brand Aid/Project Outreach” community service challenge.

The RHS team, (Team Racecar Meat 2, Electric Bugaloo: The Quest 4 More Money; In Space), consisted of seniors Taylor LaCaze and Jacob McGlew, under the supervision of Team Manager Angie LaCaze. The PRMS team, (The Hexatonixx), consisted of Jordyn David, Kamryn Diel, Anna Dorval, Toni-Jo Escuadro, Maddie Johnson and Morgan Serra, under the direction of Team Manager Dianna David.

Destination ImagiNation (DI) is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization whose purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Each year, students are offered seven new standards-based Challenges in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables students to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation.

All the DI teams would like to thank the Robbinsville community for their continued support.
