Schafer School of Gymnastics, a mainstay in children’s gymnastics training and education in Mercer County for the past 28 years, breaks ground on Tuesday, July 21, for the largest, state-of-the-art Sports Center in the region.

The Schafer family, elected officials and invited guests will break ground on the new 39,000 square foot Schafer Sports Center that will feature gymnastics, dance, swimming, indoor soccer and lacrosse, a highly-reputed special needs training program and much more under one roof.

The groundbreaking ceremonies are open to the public and are set to begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21. Refreshments will be served and township officials will help break ground on the new facility. The groundbreaking will be located at 5 Graphics Drive in Ewing.

The new Schafer Sports Center is scheduled to open in late Spring 2016. The current Schafer School of Gymnastics will remain fully operational until the new facility is completed.

Updates on the new sports center, future program announcements and current programs may be found at schafergymnastics.com.
