Blue Moon Acres Farm is set to host a farm-to-table dinner to benefit Trenton Area Soup Kitchen Sept. 14.

The event is inspiried by Sagra, an Italian festival centered around the harvest of a local and seasonal crop. The festivities feature an array of dishes prepared with the edible star of the day.

Blue Moon Acres’ “Sagra Del Riso” features dishes made with certified organic rice we grow on their farm. They harvest and husk their rice in small batches to preserve its freshness.

The evening is set to begin 4 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres, drinks, live music, and a farm tour. The night will culminate with a meal created by Chef Max Hansen of Bucks County with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Tickets are $125; a portion of the proceeds benefits TASK.

Blue Moon Acres’ 63 acre certified organic farm is located at 11 Willow Creek Drive, Pennington.

Registration is online at bluemoonacres.com/category/events or ricesagra.bpt.me. Registrants may also call (609) 737-8333 or come in person to Blue Moon Acre’s store open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 1-0 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

More information is online at bluemoonacres.com.
