NAMI Mercer NJ, an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is set to commemorate Mental Illness Awareness Week by hosting its sixth annual Harvest of Hope Wellness Conference.

The conference will take place at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville on October 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Recovery through Discovery.”

The keynote address will be delivered by Melody Moezzi, an Iranian-American activist, attorney and author. Her latest book, Haldol and Hyacinths: A Bipolar Life, is a memoir that interweaves her experiences with both clinical and cultural bipolarity.

Attendees will also have a choice of wellness workshops with one session in the morning and another during the afternoon.

The $10 registration fee includes breakfast and lunch.

The event is open to individuals and families affected by mental illness as well as the general public.
