On October 18, D&R Greenway is holding a field trip with David Harper, the author of “Roadside Geology of New Jersey.”

The trip will last from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and participants should meet at D&R Greenway Land Trust, located at 1 Preservation Place in Princeton.

Harper’s book is a region by region history of New Jersey as told by its rocks and sediments.

The trip costs $60 per person and includes a box lunch and a Guidebook to the Geology of the Trenton, NJ Area, specially created by Harper for the occasion.

It is recommended that participants wear clothing appropriate for hikes, including sturdy walking shoes. It is also recommended that relevant section of Harper’s book be read before the field trip.
