Village Grand Civic Association and West Windsor Retirees Group present a forum for Congressional and Freeholder candidates on Monday, October 20, from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The event will be held in the West Windsor municipal building.

The format for the 12th Congressional candidates provides five minutes for each candidate to identify their reasons for running and five minutes to indicate their public policy priorities if elected. The moderator will conclude the forum, and candidates for Freeholder will then take the dais and follow the same procedure.

Speakers will be informed, in advance, of the random order in which each will be called upon to speak. Neither rebuttals nor responses will be allowed. A timekeeper will ring a bell when a speaker reaches the end of his/her allotted five minutes. The speaker will then be expected to conclude speaking promptly. After another 15 seconds, the bell will be rung twice and speaker should conclude immediately.

The audience will be asked to refrain from making audible comments or applauding during the proceedings. The proceedings will be televised live over local TV channels and rebroadcast at frequent intervals until the November 4 election.
