Valentine’s Day event to benefit 1867 Sanctuary

Preservation New Jersey is hosting a Valentine’s Day benefit for 1867 Sanctuary in Ewing.

Heart and Soul: A Valentine’s Evening Delight is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at Ewing Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall, 100 Scotch Road, Ewing.

The event, catered by Freddie’s of West Trenton, begins with appetizers. Dinner is set for 7 p.m. and includes a choice of chicken Marsala, top sirloin and eggplant parmigiana.

Chamber musician and piano instructor Marianne Lauffer will play live piano music throughout dinner.

The TEMPOraries, a local 10-piece band, will provide music for dancing from 8 to 10 p.m.

Heart and Soul also features a dessert buffet with treats donated by local bakeries.

Tickets are $5o. Proceeds benefit the restoration and reuse of 1867 Sanctuary on Scotch Road.
