Hamilton dentist awarded American Society of Dental Aesthetics membership

American Society of Dental Aesthetics president Dr. Irwin Smigel awards Dr. Scott Jay Chanin of Hamilton Dental Associates with membership in the ASDA.

The American Society of Dental Aesthetics awarded membership to Dr. Scott Jay Chanin, a cosmetic dentist and partner at Hamilton Dental Associates in Hamilton Square.

Membership for the ASDA is an honor reserved for dentists committed to the highest standards of care and advancement in the field. It is extremely selective.

Dr. Chanin fulfilled several requirements to be become an ASDA member. Requirements include nomination by an ASDA member, two letters of recommendation by members, and presentation of five cases illustrating different concepts of aesthetic dentistry.

ASDA president, Dr. Irwin Smigel, presented Dr. Chanin with the ASDA membership plaque and pin at an installation ceremony Oct. 17, 2013 in Naples, Fla.

ASDA is an international non-profit organization that aims to increase awareness of dental aesthetics and treatment options, and enhance the quality of patient care in dentistry. The society has about 300 members.
