Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community is set to host its annual benefit auction.

The event features a live auction, silent auction and “chance” auction.

Among the items up for bid are gift certificates for local businesses, a wide range of services and theme baskets. Also for sale are hand-crafted jewelry, collectibles and refreshments.

The auction is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 15 at the church, 39 Park St., Bordentown. Admission is free.

Proceeds support the congregation’s social action initiatives, such as bringing meals to homeless people, providing warm gloves and hats to those living in poverty, distributing school supplies to needy children, collecting books and educational materials for prisoners, and contributing to local food banks.

The Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community is a 20-year-old congregation that found a home in Bordentown a little over three years ago.
